As you can probably tell due to my predilection towards vintage clothing, I am not much of a “mall” person. I love classic ‘90s movies that show towering castles of boutiques and retailers, but being in them never really does it for me. One thing about malls I do love, however (aside from the Godiva kiosks), is the department store. Most big retail meccas have been around for years, even centuries, so they have a long and rich fashion history. My favorite kind of history. I sincerely hope that they never go the way of CD’s and VCR’s and disappear completely! Here are some of the most classic department stores, most of which are still around, and a classic piece from each!
